This Privacy Policy describes how Specifusion Investments (PTY) Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the AI Slip Scanner: Receipt OCR mobile application (the "App").

2. Data Collection and Storage

By default, the App operates on an offline-first basis, storing receipts, images, and extracted data locally on your device. However, if you create an account and utilize our Cloud Backup feature, the App securely transmits your encrypted receipt data and images to our Firebase Cloud Storage servers. This data is linked strictly to your unique authenticated User ID to allow you to securely restore your data across devices.

3. Permissions

The App requires access to:

• Camera: To scan paper receipts.
• Photo Library (System Picker): To allow you to securely select existing receipt images without requiring broad storage permissions.

4. Third-Party Services

We utilize trusted third-party services:

• Google ML Kit & Gemini AI: For text recognition and data extraction.
• RevenueCat: For secure subscription management.
• Firebase (Google): For cloud storage (if backups are enabled), authentication, and anonymous crash reporting.
• Meta (Facebook) App Events: For aggregated app usage analytics and measuring marketing campaigns.

5. Data Protection (POPIA Compliance)

As a company operating in South Africa, we comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Your data is processed lawfully, securely, and only for the purpose of providing this service. You have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated cloud data at any time via the App's settings.
